More than a
quarter century ago, builder Don Juan Esquivel built one of
the first hotels on Medano Beach. As the owner of the
Gaviotas fishing fleet, the enterprising Don Juan saw an
opportunity to create a true fishermen’s retreat. Those who
joined the fleet for three days or more could enjoy Don
Juan’s hotel for free.
In 2007, a group of individuals from New York purchased what
is now known as the Bahia Hotel & Beach Club. Under the
careful supervision of on-site partner Lee Vosburgh and
general manager Felipe Rebelo, what began as a humble
fishermen’s retreat has developed into an urban-style hotel
that attracts active travelers from around the world. The
minimalist Bahia Hotel & Beach Club’s convenient location
allows guests to walk anywhere, and its cool vibe has set a
new standard in Cabo.
The renovated hotel pays homage to the region and the
history of the building itself while also providing guests
with an urban-chic experience.
Guests can now enjoy not only the world-class restaurant Bar
Esquina, which features an innovative blend of Mexican and
Mediterranean flavors, but also the water sports activity
center, CABO SUP, which introduced the first stand-up paddle
boards in Los Cabos.
Personalized service is at the root of the guest experience
at the Bahia Hotel & Beach Club. The hotel’s owners love
Cabo San Lucas, and their passion is felt in every aspect of
the Bahia Hotel & Beach Club, a boutique hotel that is
changing the landscape of Cabo San Lucas.
